A benefit golf outing A benefit golf outing will be held for Coach Tim Sirk on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Cedar Lake Golf Course in Howe, Indiana at 9 a.m. Cost is: $75 for a hole sponsorship; $50 for an individual golf fee; and $200 for a 4-man team.
The outing will be a 4-man scramble and food will be served at the turn.

It's Showtime! The 54th Annual Mendon Kiwanis Showboat will present a show with the theme "The Sensational Seventies With A Mendon Twist" on November 4-6, 2010 in the Mendon Elementary Auditorium. Curtain is at 7:30 pm. Advanced tickets for the show will be sold at the Mendon Shell Station, Bill Homan's Barber Shop, and from Kiwanis members for $8.00. Proceeds will be used for club projects that benefit young children and many others in the area.

Project Help of Steuben County has two new ministries that are available for ANYONE to use at the new Project Help building, located at 711 E. Harcourt Road in Angola. First, there is the Second Chance Resale Shop located at Entrance 1 of the building. Here you'll find numerous second hand items of all kinds, including clothing, for sale at very reasonable prices. Second, there is the Jonas Steury Community Room in Entrance 2 of the building that is available for anyone who needs a large room, complete with kitchen access, for group meetings, training sessions, family gatherings, committee meetings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, sales meetings, etc. The cost is only $25 to cover the cost of heat or air conditioning and lighting the room, although donations to Project Help are also welcome. Both day and evening hours are available and the room is WiFi equipped. Project Help can also make referrals for catering services. For more information call 665-9697.
